Woman to receive substantial payout

A woman who was injured in a road accident in the south-east home county of Buckinghamshire is set to receive hundreds thousands of pounds in compensation, it has been revealed.

According to a report in the Gainsborough Standard, Nina Justham suffered neurological damage when she was struck by a fellow motorist on the B4033 in November 2006.

So severe are her injuries that she is now classified as a protected party and therefore incapable of managing her own affairs.

Ms Justham's visibility had been affected by sunlight when the collision occurred and, as she approached the top of a hill, she was forced to swerve in order to avoid a cyclist.

She was subsequently hit by a car coming in the opposite direction and got out of her vehicle to speak to the cyclist and the other driver.

As the three individuals were discussing the events, another motorist came over the top of the hill and struck Ms Justham.

During a recent high court hearing in London, a settlement was reached with the insurers of the motorist on the basis of 75 per cent liability.
